Lee
Goldberg
Music
Singer-songwriter-guitarist
Lee performed on the violin and in song since his childhood, replacing the violin with the guitar in 1973 as a teenager. As a singer-songwriter-guitarist, he has been writing and performing both as a solo artist and part of a duo/trio since the late 1970's. His adult contemporary style is reminiscent of secular artists Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Paul Simon and Jim Croce; Christian artists Michael Card and Bob Bennett.
He performed in clubs throughout the DC-MD-VA area to finance his architectural studies at the University of Maryland, and then in his native state of NJ after graduating. He started writing Contemporary Christian Music in 1986, and has produced an album of original Christian music entitled CHILD OF LIGHT. Lee also has an active YouTube channel where he posts new material often.
Lee has performed for audiences of over 5,000, and was an opening act for the Grammy-award-winning band AMERICA in 1997. He has also performed in vocal groups as backup for Andy Williams and Clint Holmes, and has been a featured performer at both Christian and secular festivals. He has received acclaim from nationally and regionally known Christian artists, radio personalities and industry people, receiving airplay and being interviewed on radio and television.
Lee and his wife Elaine live in Mays Landing, NJ. They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Lee's calling is to write and share his heart through songs about the Christian life, both the joyful and the difficult. His transparency about his own struggles brings an honest voice of healing to the struggling soul.
What critics have said about Lee's music:
• “...smooth renditions on his acoustic guitar...”
• “...his easy, you-could-listen-for-hours voice...”
• “His songs mirror life's struggles...the lyrics stand on their own as poetry."
